The Book Thief Noticing

" I do not carry a sickle or a scythe. I only wear a hooded black robe when its cold. And I don't have those skull-like features you seem to enjoy pinning on me in the distance. You want to know what I truly look like? I'll help you out . Find yourself a mirror while I continue."

Death ( he narrates the story) would put something  in the story that would shock you. As usual, people would have different expressions when they would read/see/hear something shocking. He would want you to find a mirror so you could look in it and see your expression. this is how he would describe what he looks like: your face.

  1. I thought that it was creepy that the author put that in the book. It hooked me when he said "Find a mirror" not just "I look like you".

  3. I loved the Book Thief, and I loved how Death made a point that he wasn't mean, cold, or anything like the "Grim Reaper". How did you picture him?

  4. Well, it said," Find yourself a mirror while I continue.", so I thought Death would look like myself, just at my worst or happiest times.
