Death ( he narrates the story) would put something in the story that would shock you. As usual, people would have different expressions when they would read/see/hear something shocking. He would want you to find a mirror so you could look in it and see your expression. this is how he would describe what he looks like: your face.
I thought that it was creepy that the author put that in the book. It hooked me when he said "Find a mirror" not just "I look like you".

DeleteI loved the Book Thief, and I loved how Death made a point that he wasn't mean, cold, or anything like the "Grim Reaper". How did you picture him?
ReplyDeleteWell, it said," Find yourself a mirror while I continue.", so I thought Death would look like myself, just at my worst or happiest times.
